District 4 Fire Training Council Meeting

Please come and put input into the what you classes and or trainings you would like to see the District consider putting on.
It’s not only for firefighters and EMS, but spouses are welcome also.
Registration is open! Indiana HazMat Conference right here in Lafayette, and it is FREE!
Instructor II/III Class Starting 8-7-2018 6pm @ the Lafayette Training Center.

Prerequisites: Must possess either Fire Instructor I or First Class Instructor and Reported 30 hours of instructional or evaluation time.

Classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with a Saturday Skill day to be determined at the start of class. All classes in the evenings will start at 1800 hrs. All jprs will be submitted electronically.

We have a added a Basic Forcible Entry Class and a Advanced Forcible Class to Acadis. There are two ways to sign up.
There is the two day class that is Saturday June 23rd and Sunday June 24th. Class starts at 0800 and will go until done each day. The instructors are planning on ending around 5:30 pm each day. You have to go to the Saturday class to be in the Sunday class. If you can not be there for both days Please DO NOT sign up for this class. The Acadis class on this is NT0030.

FIRE OFFICER 1 CLASS UPDATE
There is a few seats still available for the class, so sign up on Acadis.
Also anyone who has already signed up:
The class start date has been delayed by a week. The first day of class will be June 11th at 1800 hours at the training center in Lafayette. Please bring some kind of an internet accessible device the first night. If you have any questions feel free to contact Ron Wark or myself.
We have also added a Live Fire Skills Day June 9th, 2018 starting at 8:00 am and lasting until done. Appox time of finish is 4:30 p.m.
This class is for instructors who need training time as well as fire fighters who would like to sharpen their skills. Please go to Acadis and sign up.

Reminder…FOST Instructor meeting for the 2018 Fire Officer Academy will 1800 hrs. tonight at the District 4 training site. If you want to help instruct or be a proctor or evaluator please attend this meeting.
